Employment
Currently, we are not hiring. That said, we try to keep
a list of potential employees on hand in the event of surge
operations or to address an employee that moves.
We
are a seasonal employer with high demand between May and
July.
Hydroseeding is a physically demanding job
that requires moving material (typically 50# increments) up a
ladder and placing material in the hydroseeder (up to 15K
# per day). We try to have a forklift on
large projects, but forklifts aren't always
available.
Employees will be applying the hydroseed mix
via cannon or dragging a 2" fluid filled hose 200+
feet. Crews are normally 2 or 3 person and
each truck/crew is treated like its own mini business. It’s
hard work, but rewarding.
To be considered for employment:
- Be drug free and pass a DoT drug test. This is a recurring test... you must be and remain drug free.
- Have a valid NC REAL ID driver’s license (simplifies access to federal installations) and be able to legally work in the US.
- Have some experience in lawn care, or working outdoors.
- Have, or work towards, IAHP Certification and NC DoT Level I or II E&SC Certification.
- Be prepared to work long days – even weekends if required.
- Be willing to travel and remain at distant worksite, typically no longer than 1-week at a time and limited to large projects where commuting is not feasible.
